Community Action North Devon is an independent charity that has been delivering projects for young people and their families in Devon since 1967. These projects have included the GOYA project- Barnstaple’s Youth inclusion and Positive Futures project, which delivers a wide range of activities, including several outdoor activities, film, and music, with beacon project status. Community Action also runs a Football Foundation funded YIP (Youth Inclusion Programme) in Forches area of Barnstaple.

CASP (Children’s Activities and Support Programme) is a Children’s Fund project, which runs an early intervention service for 5 – 13 year olds and their families throughout North Devon and Torridge. It has 3 years proven record of delivering to agreed targets and outcomes and works closely with Community Action.

What is it?
Activities include cookery sessions for targeted groups accesible by referral from partner agencies. Support with developing mental wellbeing through acquisition of skills and confidence. Promoting increased physical activity through links with sporting activities and grow to eat activities

Who can join in?
The project is aimed at targeted groups of children,young people and families at risk of social exclusion

Where does it take place?
CASP Healthy Living Programme takes place in Ilfracombe,Barnstaple,East-the-Water, Holsworthy rural areas.
